In order to generate and print a paper test in the assessment environment, a number of settings need to be configured in the administration and assessment environment.
Manager
-
A PDF template must be created in the Manager environment (via Settings > Manage PDF Templates). For the 'Answer Form' section, 'Show number input matrix' must be set to 'yes' and the 'Number input label' must be filled in with "%NUMBER%".
This creates the matrix on the answer sheet that the candidate can fill in (if you choose to print answer sheets based on "Print user fields on every page" or "Print user fields on first page, individual set per candidate required" – see the article Generate paper test). It is also possible to generate answer sheets for candidates, which no longer require the candidate to enter their data. See the same article for more information.
-
Next, go to Settings > Manage studies and link the study to the required template. Click "Edit study" and select the required template. Only one template can be used per study.
Player
- In the Player environment, you must specify which number Remindo will use to identify a candidate. This is typically done automatically using the code/reference field in the candidate's profile. If this field is already used for SSO, you can specify that a different field should be used.
- In the latter case, first add a new field via Manage > User Properties. Click "+ New Property" and choose for 'Type' the option 'Number'. This is often named "Student Number".
-
Next, go to Management > Settings > Paper-based exam results to specify the correct field on the basis of which the paper test results should be linked.
When candidates enter the correct number from that field and "fill" it on their answer sheet, the answer sheet will automatically be linked to the correct candidate after scanning. If the number is illegible to Remindo, it will have to be corrected manually. For the correct way of filling the answer sheet, see the tips in the article Fill in paper test.
